ED BROWN

Artist & Photographer

Here’s the story of my creative journey—grab a cuppa, it’s a good one.

My artistic adventures kicked off in the photography world, all thanks to my wonderful partner Victoria. She gave me the confidence to apply for a job as a photographer’s assistant in Market Harborough. I threw myself into it and learned EVERYTHING: delivering ace customer service, high-end retouching on Photoshop, cutting mounts, framing images, and even smashing it in the sales room.

Next stop was a super-busy portrait studio where I was photographing 20 to 30 families a day, six days a week, for two solid years. That’s a LOT of experience (and a whole lot of smiles and chaos). My people skills and knack for storytelling through photography grew massively. I even joined the sales team, visiting other studios around the UK to help level up their offerings. I was buzzing—it was an amazing ride.

But then, one week before Christmas, Victoria and I got hit with a curveball. We lost our jobs as the whole studio chain shut down. Yep, all 100 studios closed overnight. Ouch. But you know what? We didn’t stay down for long. We turned that moment into something incredible. Together, we started our own business and ended up winning HUNDREDS of awards. We were even crowned the best photography business in the Midlands by The Wedding Industry Awards. Not bad, eh?

Fast forward to lockdown, and we saw our chance to create a business that truly reflected our values—heartfelt, equal, and unapologetically us. So, we said goodbye to Ed Brown Photography and hello to LOVELY CREATURES. It was hands down the BEST decision we ever made. Now we’re all about capturing unscripted, raw, and beautiful moments—you know, the kind that make you feel all the feels. Check us out here: www.lovelycreatures.co.uk.

My love for the arts has always been boosted by Victoria, who’s an absolute legend in her own right. She’s an incredible artist, exhibiting all over the world and rocking prestigious galleries in London like The Mall Galleries, The Boomer Gallery, and The Holy Art Gallery. Oh, and she’s also a prize winner in The British Art Prize. Honestly, she’s my sunshine, my inspiration, and my best mate all rolled into one.

In November 2024, we got invited to join a gallery in Hinckley, running until January 2025. It’s been such a buzz to be part of this amazing space and have my creative fires burn brighter than ever. If you fancy following the gallery’s journey (and you definitely should), give it a follow on Insta: instagram.com/the_artists_window_Hinckley

This whole ride—the ups, the downs, and everything in between—has been powered by love, resilience, and a passion for storytelling. Thanks for being part of this adventure, legends.

Big hugs and all the happy vibes! ❤️
